Hey there! I’m Ashley, the owner and photographer behind Ash Nichole Photos. I photograph weddings, couples, maternity, newborns, families, seniors, brands, and everything in between throughout Charlotte, Lake Norman, and beyond.
My approach blends documentary storytelling with gentle direction, creating photographs that feel natural, personal, and true to you. I’m a details person through and through, so whether we’re developing a mood board, planning outfits, or finding the most flattering way to pose, I’ll make sure you feel prepared and comfortable every step of the way.
Outside of photography, I’m a bubbly Southern girl from Eastern North Carolina who is always creating something. You’ll usually find me playing guitar, painting, working on a DIY home project, or molding something out of clay. Whatever I’m doing, creativity is almost always involved—and I bring that same energy and attention to every session I photograph.

Your Golfer-Turned-Photographer
Jake’s creative career began in a slightly unexpected place: on the golf course. After playing professional golf, he met Ashley and quickly became her unofficial photography assistant by default. From carrying equipment and helping behind the scenes to learning the technical and creative sides of photography, he has essentially been training alongside Ashley since the day they met.
A few years ago, Jake began taking a more active role in the business by assisting with client sessions and learning how Ashley approaches posing, lighting, storytelling, and the little details that make a gallery feel complete. He eventually began second shooting weddings and has continued developing his own eye and style behind the camera.
Today, Jake photographs the same types of sessions offered by Ash Nichole Photos, bringing his calm personality, attention to detail, and years of experience working alongside Ashley to every shoot. Together, Ashley and Jake offer clients a collaborative husband-and-wife photography team dedicated to creating relaxed, meaningful images that feel like you.
