Folklore Inspired Photoshoot at Crowders Mountain Park, NC

One of the really fun programs that I have every year is my senior model program called the Dream Team. Every year, rising seniors apply to be a part of my model team and those accepted get to participate in a handful of photoshoots through the year. Dream Team 23’s second photoshoot this year was inspired by Taylor Swift’s album “Folklore.” The team went on a group shopping trip to Concord Mill’s Mall and we all found the cutest outfits at Forever 21. The weather was a little bit warm to copy Taylor’s outfits from her shoot, but we did incorporate the cottage core look.

On the day of the shoot, we put flowers in their hair and got to shooting!

First up was Grace, and can I say that her Green Dress made her eyes stand out soooo pretty. The flowers in her hair braid looked so elegant and the very first picture we took turned out amazing (and all the rest too)! Grace is seriously a natural. Check out a few of her shots below!

Next up was Veda. We moved to a new location on the mountain and Veda used my wicker basket as a prop for her look. She wore a white dress which complimented her beautiful skin tone. We got super creative with angles and I really like the results! Check them out below.

After Veda, it was Keira’s turn. Keira wore one of her mom’s blue lace dresses and the color photographed so well. We moved in front of the lake and the blue dress and water complimented each other so well. Keira seriously rocked that outfit and her poses were effortless! Check her shots out below.

Minnie was next and can we just take a moment to appreciate her beautiful curly hair!? I bought flowers from Trader Joe’s and she just threw them in with bobby pins and it turned out so cute. Minnie’s portraits gave off wanderlust vibes! Her outfit was coordinated perfectly (as it always is because she is a fashion queen), and I can’t wait for you to check out her portraits below.

Next up was Catie, and wow, just wow girl! Catie decided to use my picnic basket as her prop and the color of the basket matched her hair and skin tone so well! Her photos give off a very “cool girl” vibe, which fits Catie’s personality perfectly. Check out her shots below!

Last, but certainly not least is Cristal!! Cristal lucked out because she got to shoot during golden hour. The lighting was PERFECT and so was every pose and expression that Cristal did during her session. Her hair waves were to die for (I need to know what hair tools you use girl), and her white dress stood out so good with all the greenery. Check out Cristal’s shots below.
